The NFL Experience 2018 Rookie Extension Decisions

In 2018, The NFL Experience has begun to make some changes.

Now entering its seventh season, the league is growing and evolving in positive ways (and, more importantly, in ways designed to keep its commissioner sane, and hopefully avoiding a similar fate to that of the man who is currently failing to properly run the actual NFL at the moment).

One of those is the implementation, for the first time, of contract extensions for players coming off the end of their initial rookie contracts. This will give teams a chance to keep their players for longer – though it will come with a price.

Here, though, is a complete rundown of what each of the 16 teams that make up The NFL Experience decided to do with their players who had their rookie contracts expire in 2017:

AP Says PIIHB: Signed Brandin Cooks for $25 per year for three years and Khalil Mack for $20 per year for four years. Did not re-sign Ryan Shazier.

Bizarro Al Davis: Signed Deone Bucannon for $20 per year for three years.

Bedeque Panthers: Signed Allen Robinson for $20 per year for four years.

Bortles Kombat: Signed Mike Evans for $25 per year for two years; Eric Ebron for $25 per year for one year; and Aaron Donald for $20 per year for two years.

Carnivorous Pigs: Signed Ha Ha Clinton-Dix for $20 per year for four years; Denzel Perryman for $15 per year for four years; Isaiah Crowell for $15 per year for three years; Martavis Bryant for $10 per year for three years; and Jamison Crowder for $5 per year for four years.

Chef’s Menu: Signed Sammy Watkins for $25 per year for three years and Jadeveon Clowney for $25 per year for three years. Did not re-sign Devin Smith or Marcus Peters.

Coach: Signed Devanta Freeman for $20 per year for three years and Paul Richardson for $5 per year for three years.

Ground ‘N’ Pound: Signed Yannick Ngakoue for $5 per year for four years; Corey Clement for $5 per year for three years; Vernon Butler for $5 per year for three years; and Emmanuel Ogbah for $10 for three years.

Kamehamehaaa: Signed Carlos Hyde for $25 per year for four years; Odell Beckham for $20 for four years; and Derek Carr for $5 per year for four years. Did not re-sign Anthony Barr.

Murrells Inlet Maya: Signed DeMarcus Lawrence for $25 per year for four years and Blake Bortles for $15 per year for four years; did not extend Kony Ealy.

Noord’s Team: Signed Benardrick McKinney for $20 per year for four years; did not extend either Kyle Fuller or Donte Moncrief.

RG3 for President: Signed C.J. Mosley for $20 per year for four years; did not extend either Teddy Bridgewater or Marqise Lee.

Straight Cash Homie: Signed John Brown for $10 per year for one year; did not extend Cody Latimer, Kenny Clark, Nick Vigil, or Jordan Matthews.

Temujin: Signed Davante Adams for $20 for four years.

That’s My-Danek!: Signed Christian Kirksey and Telvin Smith for $15 per year for four years. Did not re-sign Austin Sefarian-Jenkins.

The Replacements: Signed Tyler Lockett for $15 per year for three years; did not extend either Jeff Heuerman or Calvin Pryor.
